Barbara Ganley's Blog

Here's a site Pete has shared with us on a blog-based Writers' Workshop.

What do you all think?

I think this is a fantastic way to keep track of the Writing Project. I wonder - if we posted directly to it, would people feel uncomfortable about sharing? Should it be used merely as a recap of the day? (Would this be like how we posted to the NWP site each day?)

This is actually an attempt at keeping upt to date and brainstorming our ideas on technology and literacy. There's so much to learn so Jeannine thought it would be a great way to keep track of all our learning.

I really loved this site from Middlebury--and I like how she increases the social constructivist aspects of learning by bringing in sound--I have ideas that we can do this in our 5390.072 class, but instead of a pod cast, do an audio reading on the blog and let people comment or post an audio response to it. What do you think?

Barbara is a real trendsetter in the use of blogs in the Humanities. I subscribed to her blog on Bloglines.com as one of my first forays into this area of the net. Any other users of Bloglines in our group (as an aggregator)? Would be delighted to post a bit about it if there is interest.
